Darcy Leutzinger, PhD, brings more than 35 years of combined law enforcement, private security, and film/television experience to Proud American Studios. He has served in roles ranging from Field Training Officer and Undercover Narcotics Officer to Detective and Patrol Executive Lieutenant with the Warren, Michigan Police Department, ultimately retiring as Executive Lieutenant of Special Investigations/Narcotics Enforcement for the city bordering Detroit. Over 23 years on the Warren SWAT team, Darcy held multiple positions and retired as Commander after managing numerous high‑risk incidents.


In the private sector, Darcy has been responsible for building and leading executive protection teams, investigative units, and training programs for multiple Fortune 500 conglomerates. He has also served as Senior Instructor and Coordinator for the Macomb Emergency Services Training Center and its SWAT Basic and Advanced Schools, helping shape advanced tactical and safety training for professionals. Darcy holds a PhD in Emergency and Protective Services and currently serves as security director for one of the largest security teams in the United States, as well as Program Director for the Master of Emergency Management Science (MEMS) program at the University of the Pacific.


Darcy also works extensively in the film and television industry as a weapons armorer, technical advisor, stunt performer, and actor. His credits include projects such as “Alex Cross,” “Red Dawn,” “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas,” “Hostel: Part III,” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” where he has served as weapons armorer, lead armorer, technical advisor, cemetery wind assault team member, stunt performer, and on‑screen talent. Drawing on his SWAT and tactical background, he provides on‑set weapons handling, tactical choreography, and performance coaching to help actors deliver authentic portrayals of law enforcement, military, and high‑risk operations.
