This Payment and Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains how payments, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work for Proud American Studios LLC (“Proud American Studios,” “PAS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions. By purchasing or subscribing to any paid service or product from Proud American Studios, you agree to this Policy.
1. PAID SERVICES AND PRICING
1.1 Paid Services. We may offer various paid products and services (collectively, “Paid Services”), including:
Streaming memberships and subscriptions.
Access to micro‑series, courses, events, and premium content.
One‑time purchases or rentals (where available).
1.2 Prices. All prices, fees, and charges will be displayed at checkout or in your account. Prices may be shown in U.S. dollars or other currencies, as indicated. Taxes, processing fees, or app‑store commissions may be added as required.
1.3 Changes in Pricing. We may change prices or introduce new fees at any time. For existing subscriptions, price changes will apply on the next billing cycle after we provide any required notice; if you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the next renewal.
2. PAYMENT METHODS
2.1 Accepted Methods. Payments for Paid Services are processed by third‑party providers such as Stripe, PayPal, app stores, or integrated commerce platforms. You may be asked to agree to their terms and conditions in addition to ours.
2.2 Authorization. By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use it and you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge all amounts due (including applicable taxes) for your purchases and subscriptions.
2.3 Payment Information. Proud American Studios does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers. Payment details are handled by our payment providers in accordance with their security standards.
3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND AUTOMATIC RENEWAL
3.1 Subscription Plans. Some Paid Services are offered on a recurring subscription basis (for example, monthly or annual plans). Details of your plan—including price, billing interval, and included benefits—will be shown at sign‑up.
3.2 Auto‑Renewal. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then‑current price until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment providers) to charge your payment method at each renewal.
3.3 Free Trials and Promotions. If we offer a free trial or introductory period, we will specify its length and any conditions. At the end of the trial, your subscription will convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
3.4 Updating Payment Details. You are responsible for keeping your billing information accurate and up to date. If a payment fails, we may attempt to process it again or suspend access until payment is successfully processed.
4. CANCELLATIONS
4.1 How to Cancel. You may cancel a subscription at any time through:
Your account settings on our website or app; or
The platform where you purchased (for example, an app store or third‑party platform), following their instructions.
4.2 Effective Date of Cancellation. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise specified. You will retain access to your subscription benefits until that time.
4.3 No Obligation to Renew. After cancellation, we will not charge you for future billing periods, but you remain responsible for any charges already incurred.
5. REFUNDS
5.1 General Policy. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, all fees are non‑refundable and all sales are final.
5.2 Subscription Renewals. If you forget to cancel before a renewal date, we generally do not provide refunds for the renewed period. In limited circumstances and at our sole discretion, we may offer a courtesy refund or account credit.
5.3 Partial Use. We do not offer refunds or credits for partially used billing periods, downgraded plans, or unused content, except where we are required to do so by law.
5.4 Technical Issues. If you experience technical issues that materially prevent you from accessing Paid Services, please contact support promptly. After verifying the issue, we may, at our discretion, offer a refund, credit, or extended access.
5.5 App Store Purchases. If you purchased a subscription or content through a third‑party platform (for example, Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store), refund requests may need to be handled directly through that platform according to its policies.
6. CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTES
6.1 Contact Us First. If you have concerns about a charge, please contact us before initiating a dispute or chargeback. Many issues can be resolved quickly through our support team.
6.2 Unauthorized Charges. If you believe an unauthorized transaction has occurred, notify your payment provider and contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate.
6.3 Improper Chargebacks. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts and deny future purchases where we determine that chargebacks were filed improperly or in bad faith.
7. TAXES
You are responsible for any sales, use, value‑added, or other taxes applicable to your purchases, except for taxes based on Proud American Studios’ net income. Where required by law, such taxes will be added to your charges and itemized on your receipt.
8. CURRENCY CONVERSION AND FEES
If your payment is made in a currency different from the one in which our prices are listed, your bank or payment provider may apply conversion rates and fees. Proud American Studios is not responsible for any such charges, and you should check with your provider for details.
9. ACCOUNT TERMINATION AND ACCESS AFTER NON‑PAYMENT
We may suspend or terminate your access to Paid Services if payments cannot be processed, if your subscription expires without renewal, or if you violate our Terms and Conditions or other policies.
Upon termination or expiration of a subscription:
Your access to paid content and community features tied to that subscription may be disabled.
We may retain certain account and billing records for up to seven (7) years for tax, accounting, fraud‑prevention, and legal purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
